Early Life
Selena Forest was born on April 29, 1999, in Lafayette, Louisiana, under the zodiac sign Taurus. Her life began amid hardship—her family home was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina, leaving them with nothing. The family was forced to move frequently in search of a better life, leading to a childhood marked by adventure and constant relocation. Selena changed numerous schools and residences, first in California, then in San Pedro, Long Beach, and Riverside.
She spent most of her time with her older brothers, Robert and Anthony, enjoying off-road quad biking and listening to Aaliyah on the radio. Despite her parents’ early separation, she maintained strong relationships with both. Her mother, Roxanne, remained in California working at an oil refinery, while Selena was raised by her father, a former deep-sea diver. The family often engaged in shared activities, one of which was recreational shooting and archery.
Discovery
One summer, while spending time with her siblings and relatives at Huntington Beach, an argument broke out with a security guard who had approached the group regarding alcohol. Amid the commotion, a woman unexpectedly asked her, “Have you ever thought about modeling?” Selena glanced at her briefly and returned to the argument, unaware that this moment would mark her first step into the fashion world.
Physical Appearance
Selena possesses a slender, athletic build and stands 179 cm tall, with measurements of 81-61-86. She has wavy, dark brown hair and expressive brown eyes. Her appearance is simultaneously cool, soft, and bold—an ambiguous aesthetic that allows her to transition effortlessly between feminine and androgynous styles. Off the runway, she prefers comfort: oversized hoodies, vintage T-shirts, skate shoes, baggy jeans, jackets, and baseball caps in tomboy fashion. She favors neutral and earthy tones—gray, black, and dark green—or minimalistic monochrome palettes. Her red carpet and fashion week looks exude confidence, marked by daring silhouettes, structured blazers, jumpsuits, evening dresses, asymmetrical cuts, and metallic fabrics.
Career
Initially skeptical about modeling, Selena eventually contacted the agent. After signing a contract with Next Model Management, she approached the profession with determination. At one point, orthodontic braces were interfering with her work—braces she couldn’t afford to have professionally removed (quoted at $1,000). In the end, she removed them herself using a flathead tool.
In 2016, she made her runway debut as an exclusive for Proenza Schouler’s Spring/Summer fashion week. The collection featured Spanish design influences—ribbons, feathers, and bolero jackets—and was opened by Selena. She walked alongside Binx Walton and Julia Nobis.
That same season, she walked in 28 shows, including Wu, Coach, Opening Ceremony, Fendi, Versace, Marni, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton. Soon after, she appeared in campaigns for Yves Saint Laurent, Calvin Klein, and Proenza Schouler—a rare achievement for a newcomer.
Personal Life
Outside modeling, Selena is dedicated to social causes. She aims to launch a foundation focused on supporting homeless and underprivileged youth. In an interview with Vogue, she stated:
“I’ve struggled with those issues. I had outside support from my aunt and uncle, but some kids don’t. I know how hard it is when you need someone there.”
Beyond youth advocacy, she has also been involved in environmental protection. She participated in the “Walk for Giants” campaign by Net-a-Porter and Gemfields, in collaboration with the Space for Giants initiative aimed at expanding wildlife and habitat protection across Africa. A philanthropic photoshoot was held in Kenya, where she appeared alongside Arizona Muse. All proceeds were donated to the Space for Giants foundation.
Selena also embraces a spiritual lifestyle. Upon waking, she gives thanks to the universe, uses sacred plants and incense to purify her surroundings, and employs essential oils to maintain energetic balance.
She speaks openly about her sexual orientation. In an interview, she said:
“I love girls—but you know what? I just love people, that’s all. I don’t agree with labels, but if I had to define myself, I’d say bisexual. That said, I’ve never actually been with a guy. And yes, my parents know—always have. I never had to hide it.”
Current Life
Selena continues to model professionally, walking runways and participating in editorial and commercial campaigns. Most recently, in 2025, she was featured in the HTSI Magazine Spring/Summer campaign.
As of 2025, Selena Forest’s estimated net worth is $26.7 million.
